Web Site Mission:
From 1986 -1989 I worked on and wrote a book called
"REMEMBER ME The Soldiers of the Clouds". It was about the 12 men from our county that we had lost in the Vietnam War. The book had one major objective...to honor those 12 men, by telling their stories through word and pictures, so that they would not be forgotten. There were two other parts to the book. One of those lessor objectives, yet just as important was to educate the general public about Vietnam and help them to understand what PTSD is and how it did and still does effect many. The last part of the book touched on the Wall in Washington, D.C., and our own local Vietnam Memorial.
The objective of this web site is much the same
but with a few additions...it is my sincere hope that this web site will not only be about these 12 men, but others as well,
by your contributing to this living memorial.
So that they may be more than "just a name on a wall".
This web site is also to honor those who made it home, those we have lost since, those who supported but were never there (soul mates, friends, and family), PTSD, medications, provide a gathering place for pictures of various memorials around the country, and links and education to anyone interested in or effected by this subject matter. Having stated all those high goals for this site, I hope that as it develops and grows over time I will meet those goals, with your help and support.
